History





The National College of Business and Arts (NCBA) opened its first campus in 1968 at the known university belt in Sampaloc, Manila. Other campuses soon followed in Cubao (1979), Sta. Mesa (1982), Taytay (1984), and Fairview (1995). Currently, NCBA has three existing campuses: Cubao, Taytay, and Fairview.


The college, primarily a business and arts school as its name suggests, offers the following courses:

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA)
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)
  major in:
    - Human Resource Management
    - Financial Management
    - Marketing Management
    - Operations Management
• Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM)
• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/ Computer Science (BSIS/CS)
• Bachelor of Arts in English Language (AB)
• Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd)
• Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE)
  major in:
    - English
    - Science

As one of the prominent business colleges in Metro Manila, the National College of Business and Arts (NCBA) envisions itself to be a “premier school of business” in the near future (NCBA, 2018). The institution aims to “produce God-loving, competent, and globally competitive graduates of business to contribute to the progress and development of the nation”.

In order to contribute on achieving the college’s mission to produce competent and globally competitive graduates, the NCBA College Library was built along with the establishment of each campus to support the educational needs of the students and the information needs of the faculty and personnel. The library aims to assist the academic community of NCBA by “providing quality and effective library” and by enhancing the students’ proficiency in “using the information and library materials for advancement and professional growth” (NCBA Library, 2015-2016).
