Library Collection of Open Access Resources (OAR)





The Library’s Open Access eBooks Collection provides free, full-text access to scholarly and peer-reviewed digital books across various disciplines. These resources support academic programs by offering high-quality materials in business, public administration, education, science, and the humanities—accessible anytime without cost or login. Ideal for both students and faculty, the collection promotes inclusive, flexible, and lifelong learning. Students and faculty can easily access and reference these resources through specific links.


1. E-Books

Undergraduate

The Open Textbook Library, maintained by the University of Minnesota’s Center for Open Education, offers a curated collection of fully open licensed textbooks that can be downloaded, edited, distributed, and adapted at no cost. With over 1,600 titles across a wide array of academic subjects—sciences, humanities, engineering, social sciences, and more—it supports flexible, affordable teaching and learning. All textbooks meet rigorous inclusion criteria: openly licensed (preferably CC BY), available in portable formats (PDF/EPUB), and suitable for course use.

3. Multidisciplinary Open Access Databases

  • DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
